Engineering-Led. Not Just Fabrication.
Every DNS Advanced component is designed and reviewed by a PhD engineer with 30 years of experience in mission-critical systems.
Dr. Drago Ridjosic, PhD
Director of Engineering & Development, DNS Advanced
Dr. Ridjosic holds a PhD in Engineering (Optics and Optoelectronics) from the University of Zagreb and has spent over 30 years leading mechanical and systems engineering teams at multinational companies operating in environments where component failure carried serious consequences.
At Smiths Detection, one of the world's leading security technology firms, Dr. Ridjosic served as Senior Manager of Engineering. He led the conceptual design and development of the IonScan detection platform — a precision instrument used in airport security screening globally. This work required architecting sealed fluid flow systems with air purification to below 10 PPM, designing custom sample introduction mechanisms, and managing regulatory certification across multiple international standards. The tolerances and system integration challenges of that work are directly applicable to the precision manifolds and custom assemblies DNS Advanced now fabricates.
At Photonami, Dr. Ridjosic headed engineering for the development of advanced fiber optic devices, including optical burst routers for metro area networks. He designed optomechanical imaging systems for both visible and infrared spectral regions — work requiring sub-micron alignment tolerances and thermal stability under varying environmental conditions.
He has established engineering design processes, system requirements verification frameworks, and documentation standards in every organization he has led. At DNS Advanced, he personally reviews every contract, approves every drawing, and consults directly with clients on complex custom requirements.
Mr. Nedjo Kubura
Director of Operations & Manufacturing
Mr. Kubura brings over 25 years of hands-on tool and die manufacturing experience. He leads the fabrication team and is directly responsible for on-time delivery and quality standards on every order. His team has served Tier 1 automotive clients including Magna, Ford, and General Motors.
Our Facility
DNS Advanced operates from a 7,000 square foot precision fabrication facility in Brampton, Ontario. Equipment includes CNC machining centres, manual milling and turning equipment, precision boring capability, custom punch and bend fixtures, and a hydrostatic pressure test rig for manifold certification. The facility runs Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm EST.
